Eiji Ogoya's opponent revealed.

In a press conference today, Ishibashi Matsuhiro, Yoshi Hiromata, and Eiji Ogoya spoke to the press about the start of the Royal Ring vs. The World series. The concept is a series of singles matches featuring top talent from Royal Ring against the top talent of other wrestling promotions. Matsuhiro stated again, as he previously had, that he promises that Royal Ring will go undefeated in the series, and prove that Royal Ring is the dominant wrestling promotion in all the world. He then turned the floor over to Yoshi Hiromata.

Hiromata said that finding worthy opponents has been tough, since very few wrestlers have the talent and training to stand up to Royal Ring standards, but that they have found 5 opponents and that one will be unveiled tonight, while the others will be announced as their matches draw closer. Hiromata said that Ogoya's opponent may not be a familar face to everyone, but that he is undoubtedly one of the best wrestlers in Japan. Eiji Ogoya was noted to be visibly smirking at this statement, and he outright laughed when Hiromata said that he poses a legitimate threat to Eiji Ogoya and to Royal Ring's promise of total dominance. Ogoya said that he will easily defeat his opponent, and that it didn't matter who it was. He gave Hiromata a dirty look for insinuating that he may loose and then let Hiromata go on. Hiromata said a few more things about Ogoya being overconfident before finally announcing that Ogoya would be facing Blizzard Pro Wrestling's Hayoto Kosokai. Eiji Ogoya had a puzzled look on his face and could be heard asking Royal Ring staff "who?" before shrugging and returning to his usually cocky stance.

Eiji Ogoya took the podium last, and said that he wasn't sure who this Kosokai guy was, but that he may want to spend some time in a "real" wrestling promotion before trying to step into the Royal Ring. He made several other over-confident statements assuring victory without knowing anything about his opponent and then left the room. Hiromata answered the remaining questions about the relatively unknown wrestler as best he could before saying that a profile would be posted on the Royal Ring site soon that would detail Hayoto Kosokai better.

We'll have that profile translated and posted as soon as we see it go up on the Royal Ring site, so check back here soon for an update on this mysterious guest to Royal Ring.
