03/22/08 House show results

Royal Ring's show tonight was by all accounts a very good one. The venue was packed so full it was hard to even say it was standing room only. The show started a little later than normal due to the huge amount of people still waiting to get in.

The opening match was the Young Princes Cup Warm Up 6 Man Tag match. Akira Hiroyama really stood out in this match and picked up the win for his team with his Exploiter Suplex. Most fans were also impressed by the fortitude of Daijiro Sasaki and the off beat antics of Shunsuke Hiratsuka.

Akira Hiroyama, Shunsuke Hiratsuka and Satoshi Ishibashi defeated Daijiro Sasaki, Taku Yamata, and Daiki Satou when Hiroyama pinned Yamata with the Exploiter Suplex in 14:21.

Next up, Takafumi Satake made his Royal Ring debut as he faced El Patron. Satake said that this match had all the makings of a great jr. match and he was right. Both men battled from bell to bell and put on an amazing non-stop high-flying match. In the end Satake hit the Falling From Heaven (phoenix splash) and scored the win. El Patron refused a handshake after the match.

Takafumi Satake pinned El Patron with the Falling From Heaven in 16:32.

The next match was dubbed "Massive Scale Tag Attack" and massive it was. Sam Hamlin teamed up with Abrams to face Heavy Takada and Panzer Mask. Takada and Hamlin really stole the show, as they tore into one another. Abrams and Panzer Mask put on a similarly good performance, and some fans called it Panzer Mask's best showing to date. It wasn't enough to win the match for his team however, as Takada was pinned after Hamlin and Abrams hit him with a double team powerbomb.

Sam Hamlin and Abrams defeated Heavy Takada and Panzer Mask when Abrams pinned Takada after a double team powerbomb in 13:53.

Kensuke Masuno's Royal Ring debut was up next as he teamed with Taka Ichigawa and Yujiro Sekimoto to face Yoshi Hiromata, Kotaro Shinaga, and Alexi Vorstok. This match was epic to say the least. A ton of near falls and comebacks left fans on the edge of their seats. Masuno's performance was said to be excellent and it really brought the quality of the match up. It ended when Ichigawa nailed the Cannon Driver on Hiromata and made the pin.

Taka Ichigawa, Yujiro Sekimoto and Kensuke Masuno defeated Alexi Vorstok, Kotaro Shinaga and Yoshi Hiromata when Ichigawa pinned Hiromata after a Cannon Driver in 28:26.

After the match Shinaga and Hiromata were seen arguing, but it's not clear at this time what they were arguing about, or how serious the argument was. If we hear anything we'll be sure to let you know.

It was time for the main event, an RRC Tag Team Title match. The challengers Jun Miyakama and Masayuki Inoue put up a valiant effort but could not take the titles from Masa Fujinami and Hido Shibata. Fujinami and Shibata were just on fire tonight and worked perfectly as a team. Shibata said after the match that he feels that there isn't a team in Royal Ring who can take the belts from them.

Masa Fujinami and Hido Shibata made a successful defense of the RRC Tag Team Titles against Jun Miyakama and Masayuki Inoue when Fujinami pinned Miyakama with the Destiny Hammer in 18:43.

This event definitely seemed like a success for Royal Ring, and the two outside talents played no small part in making it so. I'm sure they both will return to Royal Ring in the future.
